All Aboard A New Era for the DC 6 Diner at Coventry Airport
13th November 2012
Coventry Airport are delighted to announce that it has taken ownership of the unique DC6 Diner
The restaurant currently forms part of the Airbase exhibition at Coventry Airport, where more than 30 Air Atlantique aircraft are on display and is the only one of its kind to have been innovatively refurbished into a unique dining experience, perfect for aviation aficionados.
The DC-6 took her last flight in 2006 following filming for James Bond’s Casino Royale with man of the moment, actor Daniel Craig. This fine lady of the sky’s career has spanned over 50 years of covert missions for the CIA whilst masquerading on occasion as a passenger jet.
DC-6 Diner will provide good food, good wine and a rather memorable dining experience for those who want to indulge their love of classic aircraft.
Seating up to 40 guests, the DC-6 Diner allows customers aboard to find a warm welcome and an inviting place to eat and drink with friends and family.
During the daytime the DC-6 diner is the perfect place for a relaxed lunch with friends or business meetings with clients or colleagues and when evening falls the atmosphere becomes cosy and intimate, with a tempting menu and fine wine selection perfect for private hire for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.
Younger guests to the DC-6 will be delighted to hear of the new ‘Little Aviators Club’, with activities to keep them amused throughout their visit.
